Jan 2010- To date
Mediaworks Trust secures new from the National Lottery Awards for All funding for the Community Film Share Project to help develop its volunteer base and support exhibition of community based films. 

April 2009
Mediaworks Trust move into Peet St Studios and started to plan to develop the site by securing capital funding from European Regional Development Funding.  

July 2008
Successfully completed the Film Mania Project support four new film projects produced by young people

Jan 2005
Secured application to UK Film Council to become a 'First Light Studio'.

Dec 2004
Received national screening of two 'Rewind2Learning Project' films, on BBC Blast. Recognition award received by young filmmakers.

Nov 2004
Hosted three-day film festival (LIFT - Learning Innovation Film Talent) in conjunction with UCI Cinema and Metro Cinema. Overall attendance of 750 participants, with premier screening of our low-budget feature film 'Gangster Prankster'.

July 2004
Hosted 'Summer Film Academy,' based at the Metro Cinema and University of Derby School of Art & Design. Three short films and one documentary produced and submitted to the BBC Blast competition.

Dec 2003
Approval of 'Rewind2Learning Project', aimed at young people at risk of offending. Supported by ITV Television, Derbyshire Police and the Youth Offending Service.

Sept 2003
Approval of 'Script into Basic Skills Project - targeting ethnic monitories by

2002-2003
Established Mediaworks Trust and new relocation base in Derby.
Secured Derbyshire LSC funded film project, aimed at unemployed adults (FACT - Films Accessing Community Training Project). Ten short film scripts and five shorts films produced.

2001-2003
Organised 'Middle Eastern Film Project', working with West London Egyptian Community Association. Scriptwriting and video production training provided.

2000-2003
Awarded ESF Objective 3 funding (supported by Westminster City Council Arts Unit) to run the 'Inset Skills Project.' Five short films produced.

1999-2000
The Trust is established with core seed funding from Channel 4 TV & Film London, under the name Filmworks Trust (based in  Central London Westbourne studios).
