Clientele & Impact

The Trust is the not-for-profit third sector agency based in Derby, specialising in Scriptwriting and Digital Video Production.

Our contact  database comprises over 300 clients (Volunteers, Learners, Staff, Actors / Actresses, Scriptwriters and other Film related Talents) and is dedicated to the development of new talent in the East Midlands. From 2003 onwards, our impact upon the city of Derby comprises of:

• Hosting twelve training programmes (targeting ethnic minorities, mature learners, youth groups and children)
• Training 92 people in Scriptwriting and Video Production, with qualifications offered to OCN standard
• Providing Information, Advice and Guidance support to 250 people
• Producing thirty community-based films
• Hosting two film festivals (LIFT - Learning Innovation Film Talent)
• Producing one low-budget feature film
• Hosting two summer film academies in conjunction with University of Derby
• Developing partnerships with over twenty community and voluntary organisations
• Developing partnerships with public bodies such as Derby University, The Quad, Derby City Council
• Developing partnerships within the Creative Industry, including the local Cinemas, TV Channels and the UK Film Council
• Building seven years of trust, kudos and a positive reputation across the East Midlands region
• Raising the city of Derby's profile within the East Midland media sector
• Raising Derby's profile nationally (via the UK Film Council)
